Two New Haven based brands A Kidd From New Haven and Black City link up for their Black on Black Space 9th Square hoodie. This Phantom Black 160z 100% organic cotton hoodie is a ultra durable heavy-weight but soft fleece. The hoodie has the new A Kidd From New Haven logo on the front screen printed with the black on black space, the black city cross on the back and the A Kidd From New Haven slogan logo on one sleeve and the black city logo on the other.
English Puritans founded New Haven Colony in 1638 as a grid known as the “Nine Square Plan,” which consists of 8 squares plus the green. The city of New Haven is America’s first planned town incorporated as a city in 1784. Many cities like Philly adopted this format after New Haven. The Black City Cross logo thats located on the back of the hoodie consists of 8 squares with different hand gestures that represent different neighborhoods in New Haven.
We wanted to take the negative condensations of the hand signs and tell the story of New Haven through art and fashion. This collab piece is very limited and only 203 will be made. Due to it being a limited edition item we wanted a very durable hoodie that will last. The price of the hoodie is 100$ and will be available at the Pop Up Shop on May 1st and online on May 3rd.
